Nutella Swirl Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or crushed digestive biscuits)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 16 oz (450g) cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup Nutella (slightly warmed)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, then let it cool slightly.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until fully combined.

Step 3: Add the Nutella Swirl

  1. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust, spreading evenly.
  2. Drizzle the warmed Nutella over the top and use a toothpick or knife to swirl it into the batter.

Step 4: Bake & Cool

  1. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly.
  2. Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight).

Step 5: Slice & Serve

  1. Once fully chilled, cut into bars and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Cheesecake Bars

✔ Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth, lump-free batter.
✔ Do not overbake—a slight jiggle in the center is normal.
✔ Chill completely before slicing for the best texture.
